The Development Coordinator oversees real estate development projects and is involved in all phases of real estate development including site selection, predevelopment, finance, leasing and sales, planning, construction, and property management. The Role:

- Ability to work independently as well as with teams;
- Strong computer skills in office automation with various software applications using spreadsheets, word processing, and databases including MS Office Excel, Word, PowerPoint and Outlook
The Qualifications:
- Post-Secondary Degree/Diploma in business, planning, architecture, engineering, or project management;
- Minimum five years planning, design and/or construction experience.
- Professional Registration/Certification in planning, architecture, engineering or project management would be an asset;

The Role:
The Senior Development Manager will lead the delivery of diverse real estate development projects across multiple typologies — including commercial, residential, mixed-use, and public-sector developments — from initial concept and site selection through design, financing, approvals, construction, occupancy, and completion of the one-year warranty period.
This role is responsible for ensuring each project meets client objectives, financial targets, and quality standards while aligning with Faction’s values of sustainability, community integration, and design excellence. The Senior Development Manager will be accountable for directing internal teams and external consultants, managing stakeholder relationships, and overseeing project execution at every stage, ensuring a seamless transition from project inception to long-term operational performance.
The Skills:
- Full Project Lifecycle Expertise: Demonstrated ability to lead projects across all phases, from inception to post-occupancy and warranty close-out, with proven experience delivering a range of building typologies.
- Organizational & Multi-Tasking Strengths: Ability to manage competing priorities and oversee multiple concurrent projects while maintaining focus on quality, timelines, and budgets.
- Analytical & Problem-Solving Abilities: Strong financial acumen and the ability to assess project feasibility, mitigate risks, and resolve complex challenges across development, construction, and warranty phases.
- Leadership & Collaboration: Skilled at directing multidisciplinary teams, consultants, and contractors while fostering collaboration and accountability throughout the project lifecycle.
- Stakeholder Communication: Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to present to clients, community groups, and internal leadership clearly and persuasively.
- Technical & Digital Proficiency: Advanced knowledge of MS Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook) and the ability to leverage project management and collaboration software for effective delivery oversight.
- Commitment to Quality & Sustainability: Strong focus on creating sustainable, functional, and aesthetically compelling projects that meet long-term performance and warranty obligations.
