Chetwynd Library

About the Project

The new Chetwynd Public Library was a long-awaited new build for the community of Chetwynd, BC. The public library is the living room of the community, utilized by a wide variety of local residents. The library location was selected next to the existing recreation centre, creating an extension of services provided. The building program included a large shelving area, meeting rooms, public computer spaces, a virtual reality room, a large children’s program area, a dedicated teen area, a café, and a large circular reading room with a cozy fireplace and large windows overlooking the foothills surrounding Chetwynd.
