About the Project

The Falcon Lane Apartment project on Westbank First Nation (WFN) reserve land is a 14-unit apartment building consisting of a varied mix of unit types. The architecture takes a regional modern approach, the articulation of the facades break the rhythm of the multiple unit building. This building will be a piece of the community, connected culturally and supported by a larger network of facilities and programs. The building was designed to meet BC Energy Step Code - Step 3.

The Falcon Lane Townhouse project is also located on Westbank First Nation reserve land and consists of eight townhouse units. The buildings are designed to provide a modern take on the traditional townhouse model both in their massing and in materials.

By providing smaller rental unit types not yet available, WFN can appropriately house elders who require less space and give independence to younger adults and those with accessibility needs. The townhomes' location was identified by the WFN Housing Strategy as an ideal infill housing site and is adjacent to the community core which includes a soccer field and baseball diamond as well as the youth center, WFN Health & Wellness Centre and K-6 school.
