About the Project

Tall Pines is a multi-unit development of mountain style duplex and triplex residences. The site is immediately adjacent to the Trickle Creek Golf Club with the majority of units facing south east and backing on to the natural stand of pines abutting the 16th fairway. The remainder of the units back on to Gerry Sorenson Way with a north view of the Purcel Mountains. The scale of the units and the exterior materials used for the project were carefully selected with the developers to provide an affordable rustic mountain, vernacular. The buildings feature natural shake siding, green stained board and batten, river rock details, and highlights of log trusses and rails. The material palette ensures a distinct mountain flavor that is not only effective but is simple enough to maintain entry level pricing. Steep pitched roofs and dormers with integrated decks and patios complete the mountain style. Interiors feature vaulted ceilings and open planning on the upper floors, with stone fireplaces, wood accents and log rails.

Each unit has its own garage, front porch, elevated decks, and a walkout lower den all set in a natural landscape with extensive use of boulders, wildflowers and other indigenous plants.
